Gather for an afternoon of creative workshops and delicious feasting  with Ellie, Kate and Nyree 

Would you like to relax, create and learn new skills in like-minded company?   The chance to relax and create a beautiful floral circlet, learn the mindful skill of Modern Calligraphy and indulge in a divine lunch with your fellow guests – perfection!

Following their sold-out Creative Winter Workshop, Kate, Ellie and Nyree are thrilled to be back offering two new workshops and a divine yummy lunch to keep the creative juices flowing!  This promises to be a delightful afternoon in the gorgeous rural setting of Willards Barn, deep in the heart of the Surrey countryside. 

A chance to relax, unwind, create and share in like-minded company and create a lasting memory, plus take home a few goodies!  

We aim to leave you feeling indulged, inspired and joyous, with some life-enriching new skills and some shared lasting memories – ones you can’t buy in a shop…

CREATE A FLORAL CIRCLET WITH KATE  

Learn how to create your own exquisite floral circlet using seasonal dried flowers.  You will learn various wiring techniques and be able to choose from a gorgeous selection of florals, all personally chosen by Kate herself. A demonstration will be given, then its over to you to add your own touches with plenty of instruction. Kate is an award-winning floral designer who has developed her own unique style whilst running Kate Avery Flowers and loves passing on her passion for all things floral.

LEARN MODERN CALLIGRAPHY WITH NYREE 

Anyone can master the beautiful art of Modern Calligraphy, you don’t need decent handwriting, promise!  This is your chance to start your own lettering journey and fall in love with this incredibly rewarding skill.  Learn how to use a dip pen and ink, form letters and create your favourite words.  Nyree loves teaching and will guide you with her tips.  Nyree fell in love with calligraphy on a workshop and now works as a professional calligrapher for weddings and events, she believes a creative bespoke touch adds a bit of magic to an event!

ENJOY A SPRINGTIME FEAST PREPARED BY ELLIE

Join your fellow guests, Kate and Nyree around the table for a delicious lunchtime feast, packed with fresh spring flavours. Enjoy a vegetarian menu of sharing plates and salads inspired by the season as well as a selection of beautiful sweet treats to savour in between your two creative workshops. Each dish will be lovingly prepared by Ellie, who trained at Le Cordon Bleu, and served around a beautifully styled table where you will have the time to sit, chat and sip on a glass of fizz while you feast.

“The activities we did worked really well in the time as everyone went away with something and a feeling of achievement. I loved everything we did and the creations I took home :)  I was a bit apprehensive about attending on my own as I knew no one there and hadn't done any of the activities before, however the leaders and other learners were all so lovely that I had no worries at all. Everyone made me feel really at ease and keen to do more similar things in future. I've already ordered some materials to make more gift tags at home!

FAQs

What is the age limit? We welcome anyone 18 years and over.

Do I need any experience or calligraphy or flower arranging? No none at all, we will guide and assist you, this is all about crafting, having a go and enjoyment.

Is there any parking? Yes Willards Farm has plenty of free parking.  Please be aware the barn is on a privately owned farm so parking is on gravel or in a side field.  Fingers are crossed for dry weather!

What is your cancellation policy? Please note tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable due to the complexity of running a one-off workshop with three hosts.  We appreciate your understanding.

What happens if you have to cancel the event? If in the unlikely event we need to cancel this event we will contact you directly and if an alternative date can’t be arranged, offer a full refund minus a booking fee of £2.00.
